The Knife Edge:
I live between two worlds—one chasing traditional publication, the other adapting through AI to overcome barriers. This piece explores the tension, the integrity, and the quiet reckoning of writing from the in-between.

For most of my adult life I worked as a Registered Nurse… not a celebrity, not an expert, not a journalist or student of the arts. What business did I have pursuing publication?
When health made my nursing role unsustainable it had an unexpected outcome: It opened my eyes to the unseen neglect. I shifted my lens—from clinician to patient, from practitioner to storyteller. I now write from lived experience, with a focus on invisible disability, chronic illness, and systemic issues. For the unseen and unheard, I stepped out of my comfort zone and embraced vulnerability. I built my own platform. Raised my own voice. Will you help amplify it?
Author: My writing journey began unexpectedly, with a worn-out diary and a quiet voice that said: Hold on, the path is being laid. I listened. I trusted. And I wrote. That moment sparked a passion I didn’t know I had—and a purpose I couldn’t ignore.
My fiction is designed to entertain and uplift—while gently raising awareness and validating the realities too often dismissed.
Advocator: Advocacy was a key component of my nursing career, but more than that, it is in my DNA… along with the genetic condition I raise awareness of! All voices deserve to be heard—especially the too-often silenced ones: the young, the disabled, the mothers. Even those without a platform. Even the non-influencers. Especially them.
My advocacy speaks to a reality that is a damning reflection on society… still, I avoid blame and shame—the goal is change.
Creator: All voices deserve to be heard—especially the too-often silenced ones: the young, the disabled, the mothers. Even those without a platform. Even the non-influencers. Especially them. I use creative endeavours to bridge the divide
I’m working to make the unseen visible—through fiction (and fact), lived experience, and creative collaboration.
You: Let’s make the invisible visible.
Together we will see the narrative shift that is so desperately needed.
